The head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov said that the operators can create tours to Egypt, but only on the basis of regular flights to Cairo. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“We have a legislative base and we certainly have performed the provisions prescribed in the decrees of the President,” he said.
Safronov said that the Federal Agency for tourism does not prevent the tour operators in creating the product, however were reminded of the current ban on Charter flights to the cities of Egypt. Also banned selling packaged tours that involve air travel to Sharm-El-Sheikh and Hurghada through other countries.
To date, the agencies have not yet included in the package of services vouchers for popular among Russian tourists resorts.
In early January Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the resumption of regular air traffic with the Egyptian capital Cairo.
In December 2017, Russia and Egypt signed the documents for the resumption of flights between the two countries. The flights were suspended after the terrorist attack in Airbus A321 companies “Kogalymavia” flying 31 Oct 2015 from Sharm El Sheikh to Saint Petersburg.
