Association for the protection of electoral rights “Civil control” accused the Communist party in distributing leaflets in support of their candidate on elections of the President of Russia Pavel Grudinina. About it reports TASS on Friday, February 9.
“Despite the fact that at the stage of preparation of the leaflet of the CEC encouraged the Communists to eliminate violations, the headquarters of the candidate produced material, sold around five million copies and continues to aggressively distribute”, — reads the statement of the Association.
Representatives of the “Civil control” claim that the Communists were distributed to the citizens promotional materials during rallies in Moscow and other regions 3 Feb. The Association emphasizes that “evaluates these actions as a flagrant disregard for legislation and asks the CEC to evaluate them”.
24 January, the working group, the CEC found that in the Bulletin of the Communist party “Pravda”, distributed in Buryatia, Novosibirsk region, contained signs of campaigning for the candidate of the party Pavel Grudinina. In addition, copies were not paid for from the electoral Fund of a candidate that is against the law. Two days later, the CEC issued a warning to the Communist party.
The CEC also reported that newsletters about Grudinin, not paid from the election Fund of a candidate, was made in 23 regions of Russia combined circulation of five million copies.
Grudinin was second after the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky was officially registered as a candidate for the highest office. Both of them as representatives of the parliamentary parties are exempted from collecting signatures.
