The Norwegian star and eight-time Olympic champion OLE Einar Bjoerndalen said that could be at the Games in Pyeongchang in the Belarusian team, but decided not to. This was reported on the website of the TV channel TV2.

The Norwegian took part in the Olympics in Pyeongchang. Bjoerndalen could not qualify at home and was not included in the final squad. In early March it became known that the Norwegian athlete also refused to participate in the IBU cups in Uvat and in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Bjoerndalen was assisted by Belarusian athletes in the run-skiing at the Olympics in Pyeongchang. The wife of an athlete — biathlete Darya Domracheva, who played in the national team of Belarus.
