The Chairman of the Duma Committee on physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs Mikhail Degtyarev (LDPR) proposed to amend the Russian legislation the concept of “information war”. So the Deputy responded to the Declaration of London about the possibility of a boycott of the 2018 world Cup in case of Russian involvement in the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal. According to the MP, the consolidation of the concept “information war” at the legislative level can be used in the investigation of crimes against Russian citizens or the charges against them by other States. “One version in this case should be considered public or private intelligence by order of the political staff of the information war against Russia”, — said Degtyarev.

The Deputy noted that the authority to declare a country in a state of “information war against Russia” should pass the foreign Ministry. However, such decisions must be preceded by an investigation.

On the eve of President of Russia Vladimir Putin advised the British to undertake a proper investigation of the poisoning of the former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia before you discuss the incident with Moscow.

On the same day, Prime Minister Theresa may said that with a high degree of probability the incident involved the Russian leadership. She has given Moscow until the evening of 13 March to provide detailed explanations.

On the evening of 4 March, 66-year-old Skripal and his daughter Julia was found unconscious on a bench in the Park in Salisbury. Currently, they are in a coma.
