The first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk believes it necessary to exclude his successor Leonid Kuchma from the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk. He declared it in interview to the edition “Observer”.

“There should not be representatives who are not state powers, but only the state of the order. With all due respect to Leonid Kuchma, he is the current President. It is therefore necessary to raise the level of officers at least to the level of foreign Ministers”, — he explained.

Kravchuk also lamented the fact that the Minsk process is not currently valid, and activation “it is necessary to fill other forces. For example, there should be 3 countries, and 12 countries,” — said Kravchuk.

The complex of measures on implementing the Minsk agreements was adopted at the summit in Minsk on 11-12 February 2015, the presidents of Russia, Ukraine, France and Chancellor of Germany. The document was signed by representatives of Russia, Ukraine, the OSCE and the breakaway DNI and LC.
