The US President Donald trump said that Washington would support the accusations against Russia, if the involvement of Moscow in the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal in the UK will be proved. The words of the American leader, reports The Guardian.
“I think that, judging from [the British] evidence Russia would be to blame. Don’t know whether they came to any conclusion, said trump. — As soon as a clear confirmation, and if we agree with them, we will join the accusations against Russia or whoever will be guilty”.
Earlier, on 13 March, the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow has requested access to the case materials Skripal and his daughter Julia, who was poisoned with nerve agent. The Minister pointed out that London had to turn to Russia for clarification, “before you put ultimatums”.
A day earlier, British Prime Minister Theresa may said that Skripal and his daughter was poisoned with a substance “Beginner”, allegedly developed in the Soviet Union.
