Brussels will allocate Turkey promised 3 billion euros to deal with the migration crisis. This is stated in the statement published on the website of the European Commission.
The report said that the European Commission “mobilizing additional funding” for the refugee Fund, which provides access to education to 500 thousand children and supports 1.2 million people monthly remittances.
It is noted that the amount of three billion euros is the second tranche of funding, the first was fully disbursed by the end of 2017.
In March 2016 Turkey and the EU agreed on the principles to address immigration crisis. The total amount of financial assistance to Ankara until 2019 should be 6 billion euros.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the end of December last year, has criticized the EU for what he does not fully fulfill its promises on the allocation of funds to support Syrian refugees.
