The founder of the trade network furniture IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad, who died in late January of 2018, left half of the state four children, and the rest of the money bequeathed to be spent on the development of Norrland, situated in the North of Sweden. About it reports newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

Money for the development of enterprises in the region will be directed to the family Fund for education and research. The exact amount that is bequeathed to the children and for the development of Norrland, were not disclosed.
Ingvar Kamprad was born in 1926 and founded his own company at the age of 17 years. The first store was opened in 1958. Since 1988, he was not directly involved in the company, however, was senior Advisor. According to Forbes, Kamprad in the period from 2005 to 2010 among the ten richest people in the world with a fortune of $ 28 billion.
In 2015, his fortune was estimated at $ 3.5 billion. In 2016, the businessman left the list of billionaires, passing their wealth to children.
