An emergency meeting of the UN security Council about the poisoning in Britain of former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal, will be held on Wednesday, March 14. This is stated on the Twitter page of mission of the Netherlands to the world organization.

The meeting is scheduled for 15:00 local time (22:00 GMT). Convene it previously called on the UK. As reported in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, diplomats intend to acquaint colleagues with the available information on the poisoning of the former spy.

At the same time the Russian Ambassador was summoned to the British foreign Ministry, reports Reuters.

London also demanded the expulsion from the UK, 23 Russian diplomats.

4 Mar Skripal, who received asylum in the United Kingdom in 2010, and his daughter was found unconscious in a Park in the town of Salisbury. Currently both are in hospital in critical condition. According to the British side, they were poisoned with nerve agent. It was reported that they might be “Beginner”, allegedly developed in the Soviet Union.

British authorities believe that the poisoning Skripal with high probability is Moscow. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa may on March 13, was put forward to Moscow the ultimatum, according to which within 24 hours she had a plausible explanation. Russia denies involvement in the incident and refused to answer, the deadline of the ultimatum expired at 03:00 Moscow time on March 14.
