Google asked to explain the appearance of advertising the online casino “Volcano”

The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) initiated a case against Google for advertising online casino “Volcano”. This was reported on the website of the Department.

The material is said that check took place after the FAS asked the unknown with the complaint to illegal material. Calls are online casino, as well as links to “mirror” contained in contextual advertising AdWords.

After checking the FAS made sure that when trying to find the search engine links to “Volcano” POPs up contextual ads with relevant links. The service is addressed to Google Inc. and its Russian legal entity OOO “Google” with the requirement to provide documents under which the company has distributed ads and list ads.

The company was ordered to respond by April 6. The trial is scheduled for April 10.

In August 2016, the FAS has fined Google to 438 million rubles. The company was found guilty of abuse of a dominant position on the market in September 2015.
