Two-time Olympic champion Anna Bogaliy told about the reasons of unsuccessful performance of the Russian biathletes at the Olympic games in 2018. Her words leads RIA Novosti.

According to Bogaliy, the tense psychological atmosphere affected the athletes. “I understand that it is difficult to children that they are the first time at the Olympics that the team has only two coaches,” said she.

A former biathlete, noted the importance of the attitude to win. “But that’s where it was very important to do everything possible to try to set up a team, gather it into a fist, forcing the athletes to believe that they are fighters, and ready to fight, and can show the result. And coaches to do it failed,” said the Olympic champion.

The international Olympic Committee is allowed to participate in the Games in Pyeongchang is only four Russian biathletes Anton Babikov, Matvey Eliseev, Uliana Kaisheva and Tatyana Akimova. They failed to win medals. The best result was shown Akimova, who took 15th place in the individual race.
