The head of the US Department of energy Rick Perry stunned by the fact the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) Russian origin to the United States. He stated at the hearing before the Committee on Commerce, science and transportation, U.S. Senate, reports TASS.
“I’m the same as you, frustrated that the Russian molecules (LNG — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) are in the tanker, which is in the Bay of Boston, while we ourselves are producing significant volumes of gas,” — he answered a question on fuel supply from Russia.
According to the Republican Senator James Inhofe, the Oklahoma residents asked how the “Boston actually imports gas from Russia,” when the state produces sufficient volumes of hydrocarbons to guide them to the North-East of the country.
Inhofe also complained of the situation with the piping network: “we do not Have adequate pipeline infrastructure for that.”
Republican Senator Dan Sullivan (Alaska) called the supply of Russian gas “dire consequences” that the government of Massachusetts refused the earlier offer to lay on their territory the pipeline.
In January a tanker Gaselys brought to Boston, Massachusetts, batch of liquefied natural gas produced including at the Russian plant of “Yamal LNG”.
