“Gazprom” will acquire the German company Siemens for two gas turbines for the Grozny TPP. The contract was signed at the meeting, the Chairman of the Board “Gazprom” Alexey Miller and the President of Siemens, Joe KAESER, said the press service of the Russian company.
The parties agreed that Siemens will ship, install and commissioning of two gas turbines for a power plant with a total capacity of 360 MW. The launch is planned in 2019. It is planned that the new station will allow to eliminate electricity shortage, ensure reliable power supply to consumers and expand the market for the gas.
“Gazprom” is constructing thermal power plant in Grozny, the Chechen capital, Grozny. The main fuel station is natural gas.
The German Corporation Siemens July 21, 2017, has suspended cooperation with the Russian state-owned companies in the energy sector. Siemens claims that the Crimea was illegally transferred four gas turbines designed for a project in the Krasnodar region. The Kremlin said that these turbines are of Russian origin.
