Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov responded to the question about sufficient, in the opinion of the Kremlin, the turnout in the upcoming presidential election. His words on Friday, March 16, the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
“These arguments about what the turnout will be sufficient — is this bread of political scientists,” — said Peskov.
However, the turnout to the Kremlin is important, and this is evidenced by the fact that the current head of the state has recorded a televised address to Russians with an appeal to go to the polls, reminded Sands. “So, of course, the Kremlin believes that the more citizens will use their right to vote, the better,” he concluded.
The night before, March 15, on the Kremlin website appeared a message from the President to the citizens of Russia, which Putin said: “For someone to vote to exercise their right to free choice is a personal decision each person (…) Use your right to choose the future for the great, our beloved Russia”.
The Russian presidential election will be held on 18 March.
