Natalia Poklonskaya: Grigory Sysoev / RIA Novosti
The Deputy of the state Duma Natalia Poklonskaya sent to the CEC request to remove from elections of the candidate in presidents of Russia Ksenia Sobchak. It is reported RIA Novosti on Friday, March 16.
“It’s a shame such a candidate. Behave and show respect to the residents of the Crimea is inadmissible. Of course, I can not be silent, we sent the corresponding Deputy inquiry addressed to the Chairman of the CEC of Russia and asked to remove the registration of the candidate in presidents Sobchak for violation of the law,” said Poklonski.
In her opinion, the candidate has no right to publicly declare that Russia does not belong to any territory.
“I don’t expect any response documents, but nevertheless we, Crimeans and Sevastopol, its position is stated and shown that it is not necessary for us to relate. We — Russia, and if someone doesn’t like it, that’s his problem, not ours”, — the MP added.
In October 2017 Ksenia Sobchak said that from the point of view of international law, the Peninsula belongs to Kiev, but Moscow has violated the Budapest Memorandum of 1994 guaranteeing Ukraine’s security in exchange for abandonment of nuclear weapons. She later called the inhabitants of the Crimea defective in relation to the world.
