The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has supported the British defense Secretary Gavin Williamson, who demanded that Russia “to step back and shut up”. My message to the authorities of the Russian Federation, he posted on Twitter.

“”Chemical attack” of the Kremlin in the UK — nothing like an encroachment on the sovereignty of the UK. And our message to Russia is the same as the British defense Minister Gavin Williamson: “shut up and get out there”” — he wrote.

Their claims to Russia, Williamson put forward on 15 March. Thus he reacted to the plans of the Russian government to take action in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats. The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov suggested that Williamson “not enough education”.

14 March, Prime Minister Theresa may announced the expulsion of Russian diplomats. She has formally accused Moscow of attempted murder of a former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia, and also announced the suspension of all bilateral contacts with Russia. However, may stressed that to break all contacts with Moscow — not in the interests of the country.

On 15 March, the UK, France, Germany and the United States issued a joint statement in which they formally accused Russia of trying to kill Skripal.

A former spy and his daughter was found unconscious outside the British Salisbury in early March. They were poisoned with nerve agent and is currently in a coma.
