The Federation of athletics of Ukraine (FLAU) disqualified 400m runner, Olga Countryman and Sprinter Olesya Povkh for violating anti-doping rules. This reports the press service FLAU.
According to the press service, the disqualified athletes shall be in effect from August 3, 2017. All results Countryman cancelled from July 2016, the results Povkh — June 2016.
Countryman lost his two silver medals in the European team championship 2017. She has left the European championship gold in 2012 and two silver medals of the European championship 2014. Povkh was deprived silver of the European championship 2017 in the room. Valid left the bronze medal of the Olympic games-2012, bronze 2011 world Championships, gold (2010) and silver (2012) Championships.
The investigation against athletes began in July 2017. Then a division of the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF) informed the FLOW of the beginning of the investigation against Countryman and Povkh in connection with the use of prohibited substances. Female athletes are unable to explain abnormal test results.
