In the Volgograd region simultaneously with the election of the President of Russia will hold a referendum on the transfer time one hour ahead. As reported RIA Novosti, came to the areas residents receive two ballots.

Supporters of the time complain about the lost “light hour”: in the region before dawn and in the evening not enough sun light. Their opponents point to possible health problems of the population, the increased burden on students and rising costs for electricity.

Just for the regional referendum is made of 1.88 million ballots.

85 regions of Russia lie in 11 time zones. The first stations visited by the Residents of Kamchatka and the Chukotka Autonomous district at 23:00 MSK on March 17, the elections will end at 21:00 on 18 March in the Kaliningrad region.
