Poroshenko wished a comprehensive boycott of the 2018 world Cup in Russia

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko spoke about a possible boycott of the world Cup in Russia, the countries-participants of the tournament. The words of the Ukrainian leader leads Ikz-online.de.

“Yes, I want a comprehensive boycott of the world Cup in Russia. This is especially important for me since imposed more effective sanctions”, — said Poroshenko. He also noted that it is not a football fan.

At the moment none of the countries has not declared the intention to boycott the world Cup in Russia. The German football Association and the Football Association of England opposed the boycott of the 2018 world Cup.

Previously in the UK discussed the possibility of a partial boycott of the tournament in the background of the poisoning of former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal, who received political asylum in the United Kingdom. Later it became known that the world Cup will not go officials and representatives of the Royal family.

The national team of Ukraine on football failed to qualify for the world Cup. The team of Andrey Shevchenko are unable to get ahead national teams of Iceland and Croatia.

In March 2015 Poroshenko openly called for a boycott of the tournament.
