“Assuming the office of President of the Russian Federation, is acutely aware of its enormous responsibility before the people and Russia. The ceremony was attended by about five thousand people, reports “Interfax”.
Putin won the elections on March 18, typing 76,69% of the votes (of 56.4 million people). Second place went to the candidate from the Communist party Pavel Grudinin from 11.77 percent, in third place was the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, which received 5.65 percent of the vote.
This is the fourth term of Vladimir Putin as President, the first time he led the state in 2000, then in 2004.
