Pashinyan wanted to meet with Putin

Elected on Tuesday, Prime Minister Sargsyan, Nikol Pashinyan said that he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is the Armenian Prime Minister told TASS.

He indicated that he intends to hold a meeting with the Russian leader on may 14 at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic Council in Sochi.

Also Pashinyan announced that may 9 will go to the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Speaking in the Armenian Parliament, he said that he is ready for a peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict and negotiations on this issue with Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan was elected Prime Minister on may 8 to vote in the National Assembly of the country. For his candidacy voted 59 deputies (with 53 required), vs — 42. The Prime Minister has been elected thanks to the votes cast by members of the ruling Republican party of Armenia, which after the appointment Pashinian announced his departure to the opposition.
