The Museum gave a lecture in the Murmansk jail about the “War in the Arctic”

Employees of Murmansk regional local history Museum held a lecture “War in the Arctic” with urban prisoners of the detention facility, reports b-port.com.

A local historian told of convicts and persons under investigation on combat operations on the Kola Peninsula during the great Patriotic war, and then answered their questions.

As it turned out, the Museum partnered with the regional management of the FSIN for over eight years.

In October last year it was reported that in Murmansk the monument to deer-transport battalion in the Arctic. The sculptural composition made of bronze, would depict the reindeer-drawn sleigh with ammunition and two herders. The monument will appear near the building of administration of Pervomaisky district of the city.
