Russian President Vladimir Putin liked some of the songs of the Swedish group ABBA, but because of work he didn’t have the opportunity to concentrate on news about their new song, reported the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov. His words on Tuesday, may 7, leads RIA Novosti.
“I know the President some songs like ABBA, but now he has not much time to listen to music. I don’t think he had the opportunity to focus on the news about a new ABBA song. As you know, he was preparing for the inauguration, and the situation in the world,” said Sands, answering the question of journalists, whether the President likes the work of this team.
In April last year, the head of state admitted that he listens to music every day, in particular, he likes the works of Sergei Rachmaninoff, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
At the end of April this year in the media appeared information that former members of ABBA recorded two new songs. About their reunion, the band announced in October 2016. The last official performance took place in 1982, but in June 2016, ABBA played at a private gala evening in Stockholm.
