The invasion of walrus has caused concern among the inhabitants of the American village of Port Heiden, Alaska. Reported by the Associated Press.
A few weeks ago, the President of the tribal Council Port Hayden John Christensen, Jr. (John Christensen, Jr) noticed and photographed about 200 walruses gathered on a beach near the village. Two weeks later, he found 32 kilometers from Port-Hayden a thousand animals. According to him, first in the vicinity were to be found not more than one or two walruses.

Walruses are large marine mammals, which are distinguished by tusks, reaching one meter in length. The male Pacific walruses that occur in Alaska can weigh up to two thousand pounds, females weigh about a third less.
