Russian “Gazprom” will renew its stores and expand the assortment of goods. On Thursday, may 10, says family-owned Demyan Kudryavtsev, the newspaper “Vedomosti”.
According to General Director of “Auchan Russia Retail” Francois Remy, reorganization of the work of the network will occur due to the changing expectations of Russian clients over the last two or three years. “At the end of 2017, our team developed a transformation plan business model and started implementation. The “Auchan” plans to reinforce its image as a store with a wide range of products at prices below the average market. “But instead to be a discounter of cheap goods we are a discounter in the entire line. That is, even if it’s a premium product, it should be cheaper”, — said the head of “Auchan Russia Retail”.
In addition, the network will develop its own brand. “We are going to develop and own brand Auchan: with a red bird on the packaging for products in the medium price segment and with the Golden bird for premium goods,” said Remy.
In Russia, Auchan has four store formats: hypermarkets, superstore, supermarkets and “convenience stores”.
