The Verkhovna Rada introduced a draft law providing, in particular, to nationalize the property of Russian companies operating on the territory of Ukraine.
According to the electronic system of the Ukrainian Parliament, the author of the initiative was made by MP from the “block of Petro Poroshenko”, ex-Minister of justice Roman Zvarych.
In the explanatory note to the bill States that “the state should appropriately respond to activity that creates a threat to the national interests, national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.
The purpose of the document is called the legal regulation of the possibility of applying sanctions to the Ukrainian legal entities and individuals, the introduction of sectoral sanctions banning economic activity and transfer of ownership of Ukraine “of the property of the aggressor state or a natural or legal person that violated the rights and interests of Ukraine”, as well as the establishment of responsibility for violation of legislation on sanctions.
Zvarych proposed to clarify the scope of entities to be covered by the act. For violation of the law on sanctions provides for the penalty in the triple size of the profits for the last three years.
