Declared the expanded structure of Russian national team for the home world Championships

Head coach of Russia on football Stanislav Cherchesov has announced an expanded team which will prepare for a home world Cup. The list of players published on the website of the Russian football Union (RFU).

Comprised of 35 players. From this number for a training session at a base in Novogorsk go 28 athletes:

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow), Vladimir Gabulov (Brugge, Belgium), Soslan Dzhanaev (Rubin, Kazan), Andrey Lunev (Zenit Saint Petersburg).

Defence: Vladimir Granat, Ruslan Kambolov, Fedor Kudryashov (“ruby”), Ilya Kutepov (“Spartak” Moscow), Roman Neustädter (Fenerbahce, Turkey), Konstantin Rausch (Dynamo Moscow), Andrei Semenov (“Ahmad”, Moscow), Igor Smolnikov (Zenit), Mario Fernandes (CSKA Moskva).

Midfielders: Yuri Gazinskiy (FC Krasnodar), Alexander Golovin, Alan Dzagoev (both from CSKA), Alexander Erokhin, Yuri Zhirkov, Daler Kuzyaev (all — “Zenith”), Roman Zobnin, Alexander Samedov (both “Spartak”), Anton Miranchuk (Lokomotiv Moscow), Alexander Tashaev (“Dynamo”, Moscow), Denis Cheryshev (Villarreal, Spain).

Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (“Arsenal”, Tula), Alexey miranchuk (Lokomotiv Moscow), Fedor Smolov (FC Krasnodar), Fedor Chalov (CSKA Moskva).

In the extended list also includes players who have not been called for a training camp in Novogorsk: goalkeeper Marinato Guilherme (Lokomotiv Moscow), defenders Vladislav Ignatyev (“the locomotive”), Dmitry Kombarov (“Spartak”), Midfielders Denis Glushakov (“Spartak”) and Anton Shvets (“Ahmad”), forwards Anton Zabolotny (“Zenith”) Dmitry Poloz (“Zenith”).

The world championship will be held from June 14 to July 15. The Russian team in the group stage will meet with the teams of Egypt, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.
