The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on foreign Affairs Anna hopko addressed the government with a demand to place on the border of the Kherson region and Crimea National guard unit and increase the number of security forces in the settlements bordering on the Russian Peninsula. His message she posted to Facebook.
“The security situation in the South of Kherson region still has not improved compared to the spring of 2014, when the Russian military from the Crimea moved a few miles inland. For four years, the defence capabilities of Ukraine has increased significantly, but the presence of power structures in close proximity to occupied Crimea meager, they are insufficient to effectively counter the constant Subversion of Russia,” hopko addressed to Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman and Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
According to her statement, the South of Kherson region is “the scene of active operations of the aggressor (Ukraine called Russia — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) — information warfare, intelligence work, political provocations and so forth.” In this regard, the CSAC asked to place in the Genichesky region of the region unit of the national guard, to create a “Crimean operational-territorial Association” (as the structure of the national guard), to increase the number of police officers and pass port point “Genichesk” the state border service.
Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of voters the inhabitants of these regions supported the decision.
