The government of the Omsk region decided to freeze the construction of the metro in Omsk. About it reports the local edition “БК55”.
“The decision is not easy, suffered. But we have to accept it. Work on the site stopped, and we need to make so that then there were no problems,” – said the head of the regional Ministry of industry Igor Lukyanov.
First Deputy Chairman of the government of Omsk region Valeriy Boyko said that we should not consider this as a final “backfill” station. According to him, the government will consider options for further use of the constructed tunnels.
The preparation of the conservation project will need 80 million rubles, and in its execution — even 300 million. In the framework of the project it is planned to complete construction of the station “Zarechnaya” and the platform at the station “Crystal” to completely close. According to “Kommersant-Novosibirsk” in the construction of the subway has already invested 14 billion rubles.
The construction of the Omsk metro began in 1992. During this time, was built in just one station “Pushkin Library”. The first metro line planned to open in 2008, then the deadline was repeatedly postponed. In 2012, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has disposed to allocate money for the construction to open metro by 2016, the 300th anniversary of Omsk. In 2014, the construction has again promised to continue.
