A German journalist, Hyo Seppelt denied a visa for entry into Russia that will not allow him to attend matches of the world Cup, which will be held in the summer of 2018. It is reported by the German broadcaster ARD.

ARD said in a statement that their expert sports Seppelt is in the list of “undesirable persons” and the journalist was denied entry into the country. The channel notes that this incident is an unprecedented violation of press freedom from Russia.

On 13 April a German journalist predicted new sanctions for Russian athletes. According to him, it is about 9 thousands of positive doping samples from 4.5 thousand athletes.

Seppelt has repeatedly acted as a whistleblower of fraud to doping in sports. In the period from 2014 to 2016 on ARD released a series of films Seppelt dedicated to doping violations in the Russian sport.
