Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has asked not to link the statement by Putin aide Vladimir Kozhin on the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems s-300 to Syria with a visit to Moscow Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, which took place on 9 may. His words “Interfax” on Friday, may 11.
“Technologically, it’s linked to the Netanyahu’s visit is absolutely false, because [Kozhin] was given to Netanyahu’s visit, as you rightly noticed,” — said Peskov.

He stressed that Moscow will consider various options, including the delivery of s-300.
A few days later, the sources of Kommersant in the military-diplomatic circles reported that the issue of the transfer of Syria’s missile systems practically solved and that they plan to transfer on a gratuitous basis within the framework of rendering military-technical assistance.
However, on 25 April sources “Interfax” military-diplomatic environment, refutes the statement of the Ambassador of Syria in Moscow Riyadh Haddad that s-300 systems are already in possession of Damascus.
