Ukrainian fans were asked to go to the 2018 world Cup and cheer at home

The official representative of state frontier service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan recommended local fans to refrain from travelling to Russia for the matches of world football championship-2018. About it reports RBC.

“The main recommendation for the fans to stay home sick and not go to the territory of Russia”, — said Slobodyan.

According to him, Ukrainians in Russia can expect trouble. Slobodyan believes that citizens of Ukraine can recruit or arrest for refusing to cooperate with the Russian authorities.

April 1, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova have addressed the problem of the perception of the football tournament to Russia by Western countries. According to her, depriving Russia of the opportunity to hold the world championship — their main goal.

In early March the British government along with its allies in the US and Europe discussed potential measures against Russia in case of poisoning by the former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter found a trace of the Russian special services. Britain has announced a partial boycott of the tournament — the world Cup in Russia will not be visited by members of the Royal family and British officials.

On the evening of 4 March, 66-year-old Skripal and his daughter Julia was found unconscious on a bench in the Park in Salisbury. They were poisoned by an unknown nerve substance and fell into a coma while in the hospital.
