The oldest pensioner of Russia at the moment 128 years. On Saturday, may 12, reports RT with reference to the press service of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR).
As explained in Department, a winner of this “title” is a woman who was born on 1 July 1889. She currently lives in the Chechen Republic.
Earlier in may, the Ministry of Finance has proposed to reduce pension benefits in 2018 51.5 billion. As noted in the Department, also may reduce the costs of 5.9 billion rubles in the sphere of social welfare.
In April, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev confirmed that the country will be carried out pension reform. However, he noted that in the first place we are talking about raising the retirement age as life expectancy increased. “Life, thank God, has changed. And it gives the necessary basis for this issue to return,” said the Prime Minister.
May 8, Medvedev said that the government’s proposal of raising the retirement age will be introduced in the lower house of Parliament in “the near future”.
