Belarus hopes to agree with Russia about the price of gas as close as possible to that applicable in the domestic market. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to the statement of Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko.
Minsk plans until July 1, 2019 to negotiate with Moscow on the price formula for gas for the period from 2020 to 2023. “The problem is that we have to come to the border (of Russia and Belarus — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) to close the gas prices. For this we went to the Eurasian economic Union,” — said the Belarusian Vice Premier.
Currently, the gas price for Belarus is calculated according to the formula a price for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district. The agreement applies to 2018-2019. Minsk “in General, this formula is satisfied, but it is necessary to optimize,” said Semashko. According to him, negotiations on gas prices will be resumed after Russia to form a new government. The Belarusian government believes that they can negotiate with new colleagues from Russia.
The average export price “Gazprom” in 2017 amounted to $ 190 per thousand cubic cubic meters. Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Russian company Alexander Medvedev believes that in 2018 the average price of deliveries of gas by Gazprom to the countries of the former Soviet Union will be about 162 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
Russia and Europe in 2017, after the gas conflict agreed on a fixed price for gas in 2018-2019. It was 129 and 127 dollars per thousand cubic meters, respectively. The conflict arose in 2016 — Minsk wanted to pay 73 dollars per thousand cubic meters instead of $ 132. Because of the underpayment for the delivered gas, Moscow has cut supplies of duty-free oil to the Republic.
