The head of British intelligence service MI5 Andrew Parker has prepared a speech, in which he stated that Russia is waiting for the fate of “an isolated pariah” because of alleged poisoning Sergei Skripal. Excerpts from the statement to be presented in Berlin, publishes Reuters.
According to Parker, Britain and the European Union should forge closer partnerships in security to counter the “ill-fated attempts by Moscow to undermine Western democracy.” He described Russia as a hostile state that tried to implement “aggressive and harmful actions” through its military and intelligence structures.
