In California, the court decided the restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill to pay former Manager of eight million dollars for wrongful termination. About it reports The Washington Post.
Even in 2015, Jeanette Ortiz (Jeanette Ortiz) accused of stealing $ 626 from the safe at the restaurant in the city of Fresno and broke the contract. The authorities claimed that the incident recorded camera video surveillance. When the woman demanded to give evidence, she was told that the record has been destroyed. Ortiz sued.
Last week a jury sided with the woman and decided that she was the victim of a wrongful scheme: her reputation was thus decided to discredit after the application of compensation for occupational injury wrist. According to the New York Post, the Manager was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome — a neurological disorder, manifested by long pain and numbness of fingers.
As a result, now the company must pay Ortiz six million dollars in damages and 1.97 million for lost wages. In Chipotle Mexican Grill to comment on the verdict refused.
