The frame: the film “the House that Jack built”
About 100 people left the cinema during a screening of the new film of Lars von Trier’s “the House that Jack built” at the Cannes film festival. About it the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
Special screenings for invited guests took place on the night of 15 may. Session organized for the press, no one in the audience left the hall.
As wrote Twitter journalist for Variety, Ramin Setoodeh, the audience began to leave the theater after the scene where Matt Dillon shoots in the heads of two children with a gun. “Why the organizers missed this film at the festival?” — outraged Setoodeh.
The journalist noted that one of the spectators, leaving the room, called the scene disgusting. Setoodeh also published a photo of the empty seats at the film festival.
