Opening of traffic on the bridge across the Kerch Strait should revive the tourism industry in Crimea, according to RIA Novosti.
According to the head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, the input of object in operation will lead to higher investment in the tourism industry and to reduce the average cost of the rest of the Peninsula.
“The introduction of the new bridge will provide strong momentum and will create a more attractive investment image of Crimea for potential investors, as the growth of tourist traffic will mean an increase in demand for accommodation. In a market economy this will mean the development of investments in the tourism industry and the creation of new collective accommodation”, — said Safonov
As suggested by the head of the Agency, initially tourists will use mainly individual accommodation and small hotels, and later on the Peninsula will open the world-class hotels.
The length of the bridge across the Kerch Strait, connecting the Crimea and Krasnodar Krai, is located 19 kilometers, is the longest bridge in Russia. Initially, the movement of vehicles on the bridge were due to open in December 2018, but the construction work was completed ahead of schedule, and the movement was launched on may 16. One of the first across the bridge the truck drove Russian President Vladimir Putin.
For this event builders have dedicated publication in the social networks of comic tips and rituals that they recommend to carry during the travel on the opening of the Crimean bridge.
