Interior Ministry proposes to remove the drivers responsibility to set an identification mark “Spikes” on the machines. This is stated in the draft government decree posted on the portal of projects of normative acts on Tuesday, may 15.
According to the authors of the document, this requirement has lost relevance, because the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle are now largely dependent on other factors. They are listed in the explanatory note to the project. This is the design of the vehicle, the degree of congestion, availability of modern electronic systems that contribute to the inhibition or stabilization, and others.
As the authors of the document, setting the mark “Spikes” will not help other drivers to clearly see how to move the car, “especially in the context of heterogeneous road surface, typical for winter conditions”. Also in the interior Ministry believe that the sign in the rear window of the vehicle often limit the view from the driver’s seat that is unsafe.
On 20 February it became known that the police Department once again had to refute the information about the publication of the order, allegedly requiring drivers of vehicles to wear protective helmets.
