The whole assembled in the village of Dixon in Krasnoyarsk region during the Arctic cleanup scrap metal would be transported on the mainland, told reporters the head of the Taimyr municipal district Sergey Tkachenko, reports TASS.
“Large structures will have to be cut, fences and beams — understand”, — he noted
Metal collected this summer during the Arctic subbotnik in the village of Dikson in the Krasnoyarsk region — the northernmost village in Russia with the support of “Norilsk Nickel”. First, he will be transferred to the site storage of solid waste, then ships outside the Arctic.
According to Tkachenko, the authorities are negotiating with the company “Vostokova” on the support of volunteers with equipment and fuel.
It is noted that the new Arctic subbotnik will be held on the Taimyr Peninsula in late summer, with the participation of the inhabitants of the Arctic and volunteers of the Krasnoyarsk territory.
