In the management of the Affairs of the region told him that the record is destroyed.

The Museum Director explained to the newspaper that the personal Affairs of the Soviet prisoners were indefinite in the archives in the event of their death in the camps, in the case of the prisoner’s release the case was destroyed but it was made and stored special registration card.

Prudovsky added that criminal cases citizens are stored in the FSB or in the state archives. “But they all end with the date of conviction and information about the sentence: execution or camp. The shooting is understandable. And the information which was sent sentenced to the camps, one survived, if transferred from one camp to another, is only to account cards stored in the interior Ministry. And this information after the destruction of the card was forgotten”, — he explained.

The head of the Gulag history Museum turned to the Russian presidential adviser and the head of the HRC Mikhail Fedotov, who promised to look into the problem of the destruction of archival information. “When there is a document, it is almost impossible to falsify. And when a document is not, can you think of anything,” said Romanov.
