Head coach of Russia on football Stanislav Cherchesov has outlined the goal of the team at the home world Championships. His words are quoted by NTV.

“The goal, always say, banal, but true. Whoever it was — Germany, Brazil — all have one goal, the first to leave the group, the second to go down the stairs. That’s all. Our first goal is to qualify from the group,” said Cherchesov.

The coach also praised the opponent of the Russian team. “Saudi Arabia… have to give credit to them that they are some work conducted, because six players were sent to Spain. A certain style they have… play as Chileans, because the coach they have from the national team of Chile,” he said.

When Cherchesov in the previous seven games, the Russian team has not won a single victory. In the last two matches, the Russians were able to put only one shot on target opponent.

The world championship will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia. In addition to Saudi Arabia, opponents of the hosts will be national teams of Egypt and Uruguay.
