The members of the European Parliament are preparing to adopt a resolution which will call for a diplomatic boycott of the world Cup in Russia. About this Twitter wrote journalist Rikard Jozwiak.

“The European Parliament is likely to call for a diplomatic boycott of the 2018 world Cup in a resolution on human rights in Russia, which must approve the June 14,” wrote the journalist.

Officially, the diplomatic boycott of the 2018 world Cup have announced the UK authorities. The British lowered the level of delegation to the world Cup due to allegations of Russia’s involvement in the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal. The UK joined the government of Iceland, Poland and Australia.

The world Cup will be held in 11 Russian cities from June 14 to July 15.
