The statement of the Russian officials about what technology Tomahawk can help in the improvement of Russian weapons, testify that “in Moscow there are problems,” says the author of The National Interest Michael peck.

In his opinion, the modern Tomahawk Block IV actually is a flying drone which can not be considered a rocket technological level of the 1980s or 1990s, but “it’s still subsonic cruise missile of the cold war, which looks like a dinosaur compared to the supersonic and hypersonic weapon being developed today.”

“If Russia, which supplies an impressive array of tactical missiles, should learn from Tomahawk, in Moscow there are problems”, — the expert concludes.

In his opinion, the development of new weapons should use the most advanced electronic warfare technology. “Military secrets are the most fleeting of all”, — quotes peck said the Romulans are the words of Spock, hero of kynoselen Star Track.

USA, UK and France on the night of 14 April 2018 has launched missile attacks on Syrian government facilities that, in their opinion, are used to produce chemical weapons. The US said that most of the missiles reaching targets in Russia claim otherwise.

Later it became known that the Syrian side gave the Russian two unexploded cruise missiles. Fragments of the Tomahawk was shown at a special briefing of the defense Ministry. The military said that the elements of the weapons will be examined, and the results of such “work will be used for the improvement of the Russian weapons”.
