Europe warned of irreversible consequences of the “Nord stream-2”

Implementation of the project “Northern stream-2” violates European legislation and lead to irreversible consequences on the gas market. This was stated by the Director, business development at Naftogaz Yury Vitrenko on the official page of company in Facebook.

He believes that the construction of the pipeline will kill competition in European gas markets under the action of blackmail by Gazprom.

Germany approved the construction of the pipeline in March. Finland was allowed to use its exclusive economic zone on April 12. It is also expected resolution of Denmark.

“Nord stream-2” gas pipeline that will link Russia and Germany under the Baltic sea. Its capacity is estimated at 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The launch of the new pipeline is scheduled for late 2019.
