Air force the United States has reported a successful test of a controlled nuclear bomb B61-12 with the help of the bomber Northrop B-2 Spirit. It is reported portal Military.com.
“These qualification flight tests demonstrate that the design of the B61-12 meets the system requirements and illustrates the progress of the program of the B61-12 in accordance with the requirements of national security”, — said the employee of the National administration for nuclear security General Michael Lutton.
The tests were conducted at the site in Tonopah Nevada.
Earlier in may it was reported that the U.S. air force has conducted 26 successful test (without warhead) nuclear bombs B61-12. The US plans to place bombs on military bases in Germany, Italy, Turkey, Belgium and the Netherlands.
