Savelovsky court of Moscow arrested Alexander Farmer, held hostage an employee of the store “Dixie” in the capital. On Monday, July 2, reported by TASS in the press service of the court.
“The petition of the investigator is satisfied, the Farmer Alexander Anatolievich, the measure of restraint in form of detention for a period of two months, i.e. until 1 September”, — said the representative of the court.
The farmer was charged under part 2 of article 206 of the criminal code (“Capture of hostages”). He had previously been convicted for property crimes, and in the time of the attack, according to preliminary data, was in a condition of strong alcoholic or narcotic intoxication.
On 1 July it became known that the captured hostage explained his action by the desperate situation and desire to return the documents with the help of the FSB.
In the afternoon of July 1, the Farmer went to the store “Dixie” on the Big Academic street and, threatening with a knife, demanded 250 thousand roubles. His hostage was an employee of the store, a Muscovite born in 1991, living in the same area. Other staff managed to press the panic button in a few minutes arrived at the scene, the private security outfit of Regardie. In total, the operation took about three hours. As a result of incident nobody has suffered.
