More than 100 thousand signatures scored the petition in support of the monthly payment of young people in the amount of 15 thousand rubles, available on the website change.org.
“The number of young people 14-30 years in Russia, according to statistics 2016 31.4 million, representing 21.5 percent of the total population. (…) To waste these precious years on the job is simply unforgivable. Pension in youth will help the youth without regard to financial situation of their parents to travel around the country and even around the world, learn new interesting hobby and hobby, make new friends and even new young families that will significantly help to cope with a difficult demographic situation in our country”, — reads the petition.
According to the authors, Russia needs to improve social security. The document emphasizes that payments can count unemployed citizens.
“We appeal to the President of the Russian Federation, the Government, the Federal Assembly with the requirement to consider the possibility of introducing a pension of youth” — is in the petition.
