In Europe, we decided to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the death of North Korean state founder Kim Il sung. Memorial committees were opened in Russia, the UK, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Spain, informs the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA).
Committees should be “to organize cultural and political events praising the revolutionary life and achievements of the great leader”, and in Helsinki will host the “collection of memories [Kim Il sung], exhibition of books, photos and film festival”.
In addition to the European countries, the committees are also created in Sri Lanka and Egypt.
Kim Il sung was the founder of the Democratic people’s Republic and its first head, in fact, who ruled from 1948 to 1994. He is also the founder of the North Korean nationalist state ideology, based on Marxism — Juche.
