A group of U.S. scientists found that daily consumption of six cups of coffee may reduce the risk of premature death. A study published in the journal JAMA.
Experts analyzed data on the health of about 500 thousand British people aged 38 to 73 years between 2006 and 2016. Along with that they have learned, if they drink coffee and how often. Of these, about 78 percent were drinking coffee. In the end it turned out that among all the coffee lovers, a decrease in the risk of premature death. And it does not matter what kind of coffee a person drinks: instant, ground or decaf.
Among those who daily drink up to eight cups, there is a decrease in the risk of death by 14 percent. In turn those who drink up to six cups by 16 percent. Further, this figure decreases with the reduction of drinking coffee. For this reason, the authors of the study believe that coffee should be included in the list of useful products.
In late June, German scientists from Düsseldorf University named after Heinrich Heine found that regular consumption of coffee improves the function of mitochondria and protects cells of the cardiovascular system from damage. The researchers found that the protective effect is achieved when the intake per day of caffeine in the amount present in four cups of coffee.
